Objectives:
- To reduce the frequency of Short Term Absence
- To reduce the average duration of Long Term Absence
- To provide Support to Absent Employees
- To manage the costs associated with Long Term Disability Payments, Group Income Protection Insurance and Ill Health Retirement
- To provide the appropriate tools for HR and Managers
- To manage the risk of potential Employers Liability claims due to accidents at work or work related ill health
- To assist pre-planned absence for operations / procedures
Case Management:
- Nurse led team, highly experienced and qualified to interrogate and manage each case. Access to a nationwide network of occupational physicians should face-to-face consultation be required
- Fully conversant with Best Practice Protocols for all medical treatments and clinical procedures
The Service:
- The service whilst clearly a control of Absence is designed as a support mechanism to employees.
- It recognises the value of the employee and demonstrates a caring employer by supporting their absence and providing every assistance to help their return to work.
Contract Implementation:
- Development of key messages to managers and employees
- Communication documentation
- Integration of the Service into the absence policy
